disposable razor steel what is it

does any one know what grade of stainless steel is used to make disposable razors thanks.

Sandvik 13C26. Uddeholm AEB-L is about the same spec, but I think Sandvik has a bigger market share.

Okay, I'd love to see you make a blade out of those. Heck, I'd love to see a forged billet made of those.

13c26 thanks, i was curious as to the grade of stainless used, suprised its 13c26

not planning on making any billets lol, wonder what the rockwell hardness is, wonder if the blades are cryo treated.

not sure but they are hardened on the softer side.

I think Gillette advertises that their blades are DLC-coated (Diamond-Like-Carbon).

Isn't DLC coating black? The blades don't look coated to me.
