Dissapointed with Camillus.

Exactly what do the last two posts to this thread have to do with Camillus support of the forum? Is this a problem with reading comprehension skills?

As far as Mikjk comment that he has received excellent support here since Will left, he must be the only one. I'm sure I can count on my hands the number of times a Camillus rep has posted here in the last 10 months.

They don't support this forum any longer and the fact that no one from Camillus has stepped up to post on this thread is evidence of that fact.

I am one of Camillus biggest supporters on these forums I just wish they would reciprocate. If I ran a company like this I would personally take a few minutes at the end of each day to stop by. It's simply poor business practice not to. Hell a few minutes a week would be any multiple more than what support this forum is currently receiving.

Everyone here has raised excelent points. I would hazard a guess to say that sales of the BK77 will falter because of the lack of communication with this forum.

of forum involvement from company reps can seen and enjoyed on the Case forum located here; http://www.knifeforums.com/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=UBB57
Shirley, the Case company historian is also a forum moderator and is very actively involved in the forum. She fields many many posts and provides invaluable insight and answers from the many Case fans that frequent there.
Case also does a bang up job on their collectors club. My point... Camillus should learn from Case.
BTW... no problems with reading comprehension skills on this end, the title of the intial post reads, "Disappointed with Camillus", I was simply stating my disappointment with Camillus as it relates to me.

"no problems with reading comprehension skills on this end"

That was overboard - I'm on a roll today and have been recently. I believe it is related to my efforts to quit smoking.
Although I stand behind all my posts they do exhibit a crassness which is a flaw in my character.

This thread is just a desperate attempt to get Camillus's attention. If I didn't have the utmost admiration for one of the few remaining American knife concerns, I wouldn't even bother.
Please come back.

Averageguy-your personal attack leads me to believe that you are an average guy with below average social skills. Can you not make your point without personal attacks?

Having a rough day Averageguy? Have a beer on me.

The 'problem' may be that your thread topic was a little vague. "Disappointed with Camillus." There are many reasons why the rest of us could be disappointed with Camillus, not just their lack of forum participation.

In fact, your very first post lists three reasons why you are "Disappointed with Camillus," only one of them being forum support.

Best Wishes,
Bob

My first post highlighted in bold my problem with Camillus the second two points are related in that these issues were brought up with Camillus when Will was still around - this points to a lack of attention on Camillus's part. In case someone was unsure my second post to this thread detailed my beef was with forum support.

A review of this thread suggests my apology above extended to you also Fudo. I'm not sure why you felt compelled to make the susequent comment that you did. Your manners don't seem any more sophisticated than my own.

I my opinion, averageguy is completely within respectable limits. He has been blunt but what he says does not really seem like a personal attack. He is just concerned with the future of camillus and their negative attitude toward their forum. I agree, some participation is absolutly necessary but everyone needs to see that running a production company can be a time consuming process. On the other side of this, look at the Busse Combat forum and you will see that Mr. Busse is a great man that actually knows his customers. I called him about a questian I had about a knife and to my surprise he knew my name, my last name, that I was from Ontario, Canada and that I was a member on their forum. Of course not every manufacturer can dos this but it really says a lot about a company that takes to time to socialize and get to know their clients. Just my 2 cents.

I've never had a problem with a Camillus knife.

But I have had questions about knives. Without fail, my emails have been answered in a matter of days, sometimes in a matter of hours. Waiting two days for an answer to a question that I could have probably found myself by doing a little online research doesn't seem unreasonable.

Is Will still on this board?

Check out the sticky at the top of this forum. Will left Camillus a little while ago. Lots of us were sorry to see him go.

Edited: What I had to say about Camillus and their participation here would really serve no useful purpose.

Good luck, Camillus.
