This Tanto is made from 1/4 inch 1095 carbon steel and differentially heat treated to produce an edge hardness of approximately Rc 60 with it's tip drawn down to Rc 55 and the spine left in the high 40s Rc. The Tanto will hold a great edge yet remain tough for hard use. The handle is Mozambique (Amazaque) wood scales bolted to the knives full tang handle.
