Hello dear friends,

With God's good will today i present you a novelty in our portfolio - a full size, titanium frame lock folder - 'Ditlihi' - the aggressive brother of the 'Skiagusta' :)

This will serve as an aggressive workhorse with modern lines and minimalist appearance; with only necessary 'complications' this design aims to eliminate as much as possible the possibility of failure.
Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a pure beast in it's own rights - pure performance and functionality.

An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder. 1/8 thick stock and the spring with a slight recess has a very strong action (beware if you have sensible fingers :)) that offers a crisp and super strong lock - 8 degrees face lock angle was used.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations. The face of the spring lock is left rough in order to better 'grab' on the blade and assure the safety of the user (it feels a very slight stick so know if you do not like such things but i consider it an excellent small compromise for the advantage it offers).
Very nice 'click' sounds - might not be of interest but i am a 'click snob' into folders :D

All screws are precision machined black oxide steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on bronze ultra thin washers - for it's self lubricating capabilities.

The blade is made using the high carbon, ultra clean and ultra hard Wolfram Special carbon steel at 64 hrc (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy :D - might offer stainless alternatives in the future but not sure yet), with a high flat grind and satin finish. The blade comes razor sharp.
The blade is nicely centered and the knife is a tight and tough user.

US/UL features on top of Standard:

- Sunken screws for an ultra slim profile of only 3.6"
- Ultra slim bronze washers again to help maintain the profile thickness to bare minimum.

OAL - 7.87", Blade - 3.55"

The price for this prototype is - 275 usd

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

You sure have my attention with your modern folders. Hope to get some feedback from Cwilliams563 Cwilliams563 once he receives this fine looking blade. Looking to expand my collection of your work but since I’m on a limited knife budget have to pick high quality pieces. Hopefully he will respond once he has a chance to use your creation😉

Thanks a lot for your interest dear brother!

There were lots sold here and on cross forums as the core platform is exactly the same (Skiagusta one) with only variations in blade/handle design. The feedback was thanks God positive.
The action is tight, spring strong so an overall workhorse.
Ill be happy to send one your way once you decide ;)

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

Id love one of these with the excessed screws I believe it will make a great EDC with a tip down clip for right hand carry. If you can make one I’m your huckleberry, in other words yes I’d like one😉. Send me your invoice

Hello my dear friend,

Ill have to find the best way for the tip down clip (i only thought of it for tip up carry as this was the request in 99% of the cases but don't worry ill do it ;)

You do not have to pay anything, i do not ask for deposits - you will only pay once the knife ready, pics sent and your ok on it received ;)

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

On second thought with it being so thin I’d go with your suggestion with tip up orientation. Thanks for pointing this out, that’s why you’re the master smith. I’d even be happy with no clip as it keeps it out of sight and prevents scrapping of items I’m carrying. Martin
