Diving with a multitool

I have a Gerber multitool that has surface rust and was wonder what to use to clean it off with.

Some folks swear by Scotch Brite pads. Those are the green pads you wash pots and pans. Very fine steel wool or very fine sand paper can also be used to remove the corrosion. Just dont' sand off too much metal. :0 Keep in mind that although you might get all of the surface rust off there may be some pitting undernearth it.
