DIY Heat treat furnace

Guys, this is the next thing I will be building. I have my son wiring up the Watlow controller once I get it back, I'll start ordering the rest of the components. I'll do a tutorial on it.;)
 
This might be a stupid question, but would it be possible to use 110v instead of 220v? Would it still work and heat a lot slower, or would it not get hot enough at all?
I'm thinking it would be a lot slower to heat because regular ovens and dryers are all 220.
