I really like this a lot.

Rattail tang is common on fighting Bowies to reduce weight and change the balance point for better cuts... but how long is the hidden tang and how is it attached?

The tang is about 4" long. I didn't make a pic of this handle before final gluing but here is a pic of one of my knives with almost identical construction.

The frame has two pieces of steel attached to it by screws. There is a pin going through these two pieces and tang which holds frame to the blade. Front of the frame is also supported by two pins going through spacers. Scales have hidden pins and everything is finnaly glued to make it rock solid.

What a Beautiful piece and I'm surprised it's still here. From the knife itself and all the work that has gone into it including the awesome scabbard that is a great price. Congrats very nice work love the Wenge wood also. Welcome to BladeForums and looking forward to seeing your future wares around here.
