I have an amazing damascus hunter made by knifemaker DL Chrisman. The damascus is made of 168 layers of 1095 high carbon steel and L6 in a random pattern. The blade has a flat grind and is stamped with DL's brand brand. The blade has a rockwell hardness of 58. The overall length is 8 1/4 inches long , blade length is 3 3/4 inches long , height of blade is 3/4 of an inch , blade thickness is 1/8 of an inch .The guard is made of soild brass that has been persion fitted to the blade . The guard is silver solderd to the blade . The handle is made up of black and brass spacers that flow into an Amboyna burl wood spacer then black and brass spacers then it is finished off with a white tail stag from Kansas . The handle of the knife is drilled and pinned to the tang of the knife with a brass pin. The sheath is made of 8 0/z cow hide that has been form fitted to the knife then dyed and all stiched by hand. This would make a great small game knife. This knife will come with a letter of Authenticity.
