DLC Durability on the True North JYD?

Does anyone know how durable the DLC coating on the True North Knives version of the JYD is? I've seen DLC coatings on watches that were pretty much bullet proof but I've seen DLC coatings on titanium that marked relatively easily (and I'm talking scratches, not crush marks from the "eggshell" effect.)

Does anyone know where the True North JYD lies on this specturm?

Anyone have any other experience with the True North Knives DLC coated JYD they can share?

No coating lasts forever. The best is hard anodizing level 3, which is used quite often in the flashlight industry but that's on aluminium. I don't think it can be done on steel (unless I'm mistaken).

It is pretty tough stuff! Most scratches that you see show up on DLC coating are actually the other material adhering to the surface of the coating. DLC will blow any type of baked on coating out of the water. There are coatings that are a little more wear resistant than DLC, but they come out in different colors ( grey blue, grey, silver) and the difference would be minimal on a Titanium coated handle.
