I've been wanting a DLC version of one of my favorite knives, the AB iMamba. I would love to see a production version of these. I think it would look fantastic to have versions of full DLC iMambas with the Tusk and Stabilized Tusk and the Desert Ironwood inlay versions. Same for the Rinkhals as well.

This was done by REK Knives REK Knives and it turned out great. Awesome guy to work with. He answered all my questions and was patient and very communicative during the process. I would absolutely wish to have more DLC work done there.

That is beautiful. I have had one of these PJ iMambas for sale in the Exchange right now; this post has convinced me to take it down and consider the DLC treatment. Did REK do the high or low temperature DLC treatment for the RWL34 steel?

They did low temp for the AB. It turned out very nicely.

I saw your listing earlier this morning when I was poking around the forum. When I opened the listing, that is immediately what I thought of, was feeling like I got a whole new, different and very cool knife, instead of just a different color knife. I am very pleased with how it turned out.
 
Phenomenal!!!! I’m a sucker for DLC and I greatly appreciate the IMamba. Any chance you can upload a video even though DLC is tough to get right on camera?

I wonder why AB hasn’t done this already??? It’s a winner, 100%

Like the monkey, I normally prefer my metal un-coated, but this could make me change my mind. It looks outstanding over that mirror finish! 👏🏼👍🏼
