"In these uncertain times..." having a dealer that is not only responsive but quick to customize and ship is a rare thing. My wife has called a boutique she ordered from shirts from about some tracking information as they do not look like they have been picked up from the location despite a shipping ticket being generated on November 28th. They gave her the run around a couple of times and surprise surprise the shipment had to be cancelled because they somehow lost the order.

This was not the case with DLT Trading. Spot on customer service. This was actually my first time purchasing from them. My daughter is 10 and ever since I bought her a cheap little junkie off brand swiss army knife over the summer, she has been hinting at wanting a real one of her own as she has seen me carry a SAK or Multi-tool every day for basically every day of her life.

I decided to go with a Victorinox Blue Sapphire Climber since that's her favorite color. I had it engraved with a little mantra I tell her every time she runs into a problem. She has a habit of shutting down and not really using her noodle, so "Evey, Solve it." comes out of my mouth a lot. I figured there is no better augmentation of the human mind than a simple SAK. Couple blades, scissors, drivers, and a cork screw to get creative with.

DLT Trading was not only fast and offered a very good price, but they gave me accurate shipping information and the knife arrived as quick as I could expect in the month of December. It was packaged nicely, engraved perfectly, and they even threw in a little window sticker.

Class act all around. I will be purchasing from them again.
10/10

DLT is my goto for most knife related purchases. Always fast to ship and never an issue with any items. But the way the help when I have a question or a special request ... they have always been happy to go above and beyond to help me find exactly what I am looking for.

How come DLT charges sales tax on their knives, and other knife outfits don't.
I know the standard answer is "the Supreme Court decision".....
These other places don't seem to be affected by this "decision", why are they?

Part of it is voluntary compliance with the ruling, and part of it is due to size of sales in that state. If the dealer isn't charging tax to your state they may be under the sales threshold. Which state are you in?

California. Seems to me that most outfits do not charge tax, and they must have plenty of sales in CA.

I've ordered 3 knives from DLT so far. My DLT Exclusive Hinderers (XM-18 3.5 Battle Black No Choil Slicer and XM-24 Working Finish Swedged Spear) and a Kabar Dog's Head. Thrilled with their service every time!

California is very insistent on the tax issue if you meet the sales threshold, I can say that for sure. I can't speak to how other dealers handle it, I don't want to make any assumptions or statements without knowing the facts.

Just had my first GEC knife come in today from DLT. Knife was shipped the same day I ordered and email with working tracking number was also sent that day. It doesn't get any faster than that without a psychic salesman. As for sales tax, it's already been posted that it's dependent on the states determination and the amount of sales.
