Hello all,
I wanted to give a pat on the back to a fellow BF member.
I recently put an ESEE 4 up for sale here and received a message from Dman1018 wanting to purchase it. Nothing special in that really, except for the problems I inadvertanly put in the mix.
I'm a truck driver and when I post items for sale I try to post the first day I'm home thinking that by the time I go on the road my post will be on page 3 or 4 and any interest will have faded. Even then, I take the unsold knives with me so I can ship if they sell later. Unfortunately this instance I forgot and left them home.
When David contacted me I explained what had happened and told him it would be abt 1 1/2 weeks before I could ship. He promptly responed that was no problem and asked if I wanted him to pay right then! I was a bit surprised and said I'd contact him when I got home and if he still wanted it we'd do the deal then. ( I'm roughly paraphrasing several email exchanges here ). I got home, he paid (promptly once informed I was home) and I shipped out USPS Priority as usual, except that I sent him the wrong knife.
I shipped out two knifes that day and got the address labels crossed. I promptly notified both guys and they were both very understanding and accepted my request to reship to each other with me covering their costs.
Through all of this David was understanding and courtious, even offering to refund back to me the unused funds Id sent him to cover shipping to the other guy! He even left me positive feedback!
If you want to do deals with a class guy, look no farther than Dman1018! Thank you, David!
