Let me start by saying that the knife was shipped quickly and very well packaged to prevent any damage in transit. NO problem with transaction - smooth as could be.

When I removed the knife from the sheath there was a light coating of oil(or other rust-inhibitor) on the blade which was nice to see. Examining the blade revealed that the belly to tip was very sharp, but some of the straight portion of the blade had some very slight rolling of the edge or something and wouldn't slice paper. This was VERY MINOR because few strokes on my Sharpmaker took care of this easily.

The edge grinds are not even on both sides, but for my purposes - not really an issue, just being honest. It'll eventually be evened out with sharpenings over time.

I haven't gotten any real use out of it yet, having just received it, but I did hack through a piece of well seasoned hardwood about 2.5" thick(tough stuff - HARD) and the edge seemed no worse for the wear - still shaved hair. He said Bos did the heat treat and I'm inclined to believe it.

The workmanship is otherwise quite good. This knife is meant to be a user and it will be. The scales are comfortable with no glaring hotspots in my limited use so far. I am wondering if I shouldn't have waited for a 4" version, but for the modest price he was asking, I decided to jump on it. Handmade CPM-3V knives usually don't come so reasonably.

In closing - Dmitry Malakhov is a very good craftsman and a great seller. Despite the few small issues I had with the knife, it's probably the best value that's been on here in a while - for the money, great knife.

Well, that's it for now - Sorry Dmitry, but I wanted to be honest about the knife. I hope you can appreciate that and please don't take offense.
