Have you been using a lot of pressure on the EEF diafold? Do you keep them wet while using?
The only things I can think of would be crud building up in the holes. I use some Comet and a soft brush to clean my diafolds after use.
The other thing might be pressure dislodging some diamond fragments and scratching.
If you've maintained and used the diafold normally then I'd say - "don't worry about it."

I'm been using the comet and an old tooth brush after every use. It looks like a hair line the way the blade moves that has just made a polished scratch. It's kinda confusing being that this is supposed to be such a fine grit. I would expect something out of the tougher ones if I was a little rought but this just has me confused.
