What to you think of this to have in a psk for sharpening your knives. It is 3"x2" and weighs about as much as a quarter.
How flexible does something have to be to give a convex edge?

i would say that would probably work great for a touchup, laid on a thigh for a flexible backing. i don't know how much flexibility it has, but it sounds like it will work well if you lay it over something soft.

and if it doesn't do so awesome that way, you can just glue it to a peice of wood and have a handy flat pocket stone.

Looks good but I am skeptical about any advantage with the flexibility for the convex edge. I doubt there's enough give at the point of contact unlike the wet-n-dry on foam / mouse pad efforts. I suspect most of the convex will have to come from you rocking the blade. I'm also suspicious about laying it on something soft. I think you'll just get a snow shoe effect.

Anyway, I'm guessing. Never seen one in the flesh, and it still looks like good kit.
