What's the decline in DMT quality you are seeing?

I cant speak to a decline as I've bought all my dia-sharp plates in the last 4 years. I can say that the coating on a few of my stones doesn't run all the way to the end of the plate, so the blade kind of slides when it gets there.
Thats my only complaint though, and other than that I'm happy with edge I'm getting.
