Do Any Of You HOGs Know How To Make A DVD. . . .

I totally concur. It is very solemn and moving.

At one point involving a fancy purse and a tiara, I was nearly moved to run away as fast as I could. :p

My wife's degree is Multimedia Studies... :)

Depending on what you want she thinks she might be able to help!

I forward Jerry a link to windows movie maker, which is easy to use he should be able to muddle through it. The only problem with just throwing the jpegs on a dvd is that you loose the capability to add picture blends and fades, adding music and adding text captions. Its really easy to do if you have decent software.

My old friend Artie Mitchell passed on before he showed me how to do this. :grumpy:

.

I made a couple of DVDs recently, mostly of my kid. I did video and slideshows, with DVD menus and everything. It's pretty easy with the right software and a little patience.

The family loves it, they're always asking for pics of the kid, etc, and instead I send them a DVD that they can just pop in the player.

one of my friends does this for a living...i can ask him....email me if you are interested....

for his credentials: he actually works in television production and won an emmy....

I am just old enough for this to have never been taught in school and just young enough where I could have picked it up from a classmate had I been paying attention.

Sounds like a cool idea Jerry. The big question is where did you find a restaurant to rent that will let us smoke and drink inside down there? Didn't the whole blame state go non-smoking? Never mind, surprise me. Actually I hope for the wife and kids sake there is a bit of separation between the smoke and the dining. I had to go and marry an asthmatic don't you know. That's probably why I took up chewing tobacco. :D

"Pretty easy had a friends high school son show me."

EDIT- Had these notes written down, used on a borrowed IMac that had all the latest updates. Earlier versions of software , with a strong may, maybe different.

Skunk, concrete isn't good enough for you any more?

Also, isn't there a hog with questionable gender recognition skills that works for a TV station? I'm sure he has all of the toys he needs to do green screen stuff and probably HD, a slide show should be childs play for him.

Jerry, I'm here if you still need a hand with this. I believe you, Amy and Skunk all have my number if I can be of assistance. Oh, and yes I can do this in several different ways.

Talk to skunk...His son in law is the pro with this.
I've seen some of his slide shows and there fabulous!
He can also add music to it and time the frames as well.
Skunks the one with his INFI...I mean info.

Friend of mine sent me a link to a neat website evidently you upload the pictures and music you want to use and it makes a slide show for you and sends you a link to download the movie. I haven't tried it yet but it might be worth a shot. Linkhttp://animoto.com/

Okay I gave it a try and it is pretty neat two downsides are the time it takes to upload files and process the final product and it is not free for a full length video although you can do a sample video for free. here is one I did hope everyone can access it http://animoto.com/play/0WeJUbaR8NNXuhd7o0El1Q

This is actually relatively easy to do, and there is plenty of different types of software out there that can do it. I would of course be happy to help you out there Jerry, plenty of experience messing with computers.

And while we are at it, do you want transition effects, and music as it plays?

Now this is mighty impressive!

I think Mr. B had over a dozen solid choices for help.

Maybe we should consider pooling our resources to create an INFI-based movie ... or at least a reality show based in Wauseon, OH. :D;)

You know ... "Days of Our INFI".
