Do Anyone Else Do To Relax/Stress Relieve?

He who has knives can never be stressed!

No so unfortunately ;) Fear of Flippers, Fear of Missing Out  Fear of Price Collapse, Fear of burglars, Fear the Postman never comes.... Fear of Social Media, Fear of tomorrow...and the very real Fear of Fear

Stropping by definition, focuses the mind. It is both soothing and a welcome distraction from nonsense by contemplating a rewarding task rather than the self.
Theres nothing to fear but fear of fear itself.
I keep a 4 side diamond stone under my coffee table for just such occasions.

I used to have a stressful job. Actually, it was the reason I quit. Those hard-working days with lots of stress led to health issues and I started suffering from ED. My wife persuaded me to quit and rest for a while. It was a wise decision. I went through the treatment (though it was hard to believe I had to buy viagra online in my 30s), spent a lot of time in bed or on a sofa, slept, read books, watched movies, spent time with my family and friends, played board games, and went for late walks with my wife. All this and the calm atmosphere around it made me finally relaxed. After that case, I know what can help me relieve stress.

I will often times reach into my pocket and fidget with my knife while in line or waiting somewhere for whatever. I don't have much stress in my life as I learned many years ago to relax and take things at my own pace.

Good to know I ain't "strange" (and/or "weird") and the only one. :D
Not the only one? Certainly.
Not strange or weird? I don’t know, you ARE here with us…

Since COVID and remote working from home, I will occasionally get up from my desk (when things are really hectic and I need a quick break), and go test the edge on a knife or two. I have a stack of newsprint I use to line the rabbit’s cage, and if the knife doesn’t slice through a piece cleanly, I will touch it up with a fine ceramic rod or strop.

If I have more than a couple of free minutes, I will walk around the block.

I also have this “stress ball” I am slowly working on:

Always seem to get the “are you really sharpening knives AGAIN???” But I find it therapeutic. An easy space to just focus solely on something so simple. Knife to stone or to leather. Simple in the act and simple for my mind.
