Do Beckerheads only use Becker knives?

Tanker 1/66 Tanker 1/66 , don't limit yourself to x, y or z brand...start to explore knives by country, it is a lot of fun. I'm a junkie for blades from Spain, even tho the steel selection is limited, (I'm not much of a steel snob) and stray now and then to Russia and Italy. Thanks zzyzzogeton zzyzzogeton , I don't feel that bad now about the ever growing pile of steel in my house :D and I finally yielded to temptation, after many years avoiding them - ordered 2 swords, a katana and a medieval one-hander. Hope that rabbit hole has a short end.

The sword black hole will suck you in and never spit you out.

For years, the only swords/sword-like objects that I possessed were ::
- a 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet, an M1898 Argentinian sword bayonet from around 1900 based on serial number I acquired in 1980 out in San Diego via one of my "pawn shop crawlers",
- my 1975 TAMU ROTC M1902 saber
and
- my "official" USN Officer's sword, bought new in 1977.

Then around 2005, I started down the rabbit hole and currently have multiple briquets, cutlasses, klewangs, shashkas, sabers, artillery swords, infantry swords and a Texian war sword.

The most recent acquisition is a 1950s named USMC mameluke.

And you, my fine Inet friend/fiend are the reason I have a Sterlite tub full of Muelas.:p:D

My budget is always kinda limited, so condor seems affordable...View attachment 821723

I honestly think that Condor is another great "bang for your buck" company. I've gifted a few of them to friends and I have always been pleasantly surprised. They might be rough around the edges but hell, so are a lot of Becker knives! They will take an edge and a beating and if you do have a failure, I've heard good things about their customer service.

If I wasn't focusing on higher end stuff right now, I'd probably be getting a few more Condors to round out the growing pile.

It's possible I've replied to this thread before.

Beckers and Ka-bars are pretty much the only fixed blades I buy. The rest of the fixies are my own make.
Folders, OTOH, well... I like Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw. And a couple good slip-joints. I like those Buck Vantage Pros above, but don't have/need one.

I would buy that right now. I love the design. Is that a push button lock?

I think you are full of it! Why don't you send it my way to verify!?

Recently scored a Quadara sword its quite dull but the steel seems good. I beat up a 2x4 and some 3/4 ply what edge it had didnt chip or roll.

Beckers and KaBars are my favorites with fixed blades. I truly like 1095 :D how it looks and how it performs. I like Benchmade, Spyderco and Kershaw as well just haven't had the need for them :p . I must say you are one very skilled guy at making knives, I always am impressed and like seeing em

well, daizee, I don't think anybody here NEEDS another knife, lol. When I started making knives I figured I would stop buying fixed blades...nope, that didn't work, still buying and making. Zzy, ain't those Muelas great? I have one on my belt right now.

Naw I own a camillus bk7 kabar bk 2,9 and 13. Out of these my favorite is the 7. The 2 gets no use because I find it to heavy. My normal edc is an esse 3 or crkt m16 and I always have a sak alox soldier in my pocket as a backup blade.

How does one become a “Beckerhead?” Is it like a knighthood, where you pay all your taxes, donate to charity, etc?—or is it a simple application and interview process?
Anyway, I’m obviously not a head but a fan of many Becker knives; I couldn’t stick to one brand ever exclusively, as there are just too many unique designs out there. I have Ontario knives, a few Busse blades, at least one of dozens of small batch and/or older collectibles which I never just oil and immediately put away every few months. And of course folders!
