morrowj beat me to the punch here .. :)

The above S&M SB pattern is by far my favorite brand of Sod Buster when considering all the production offerings!

However IMO, Kerry Hampton's custom KHnut-buster is the King of all the traditional SB patterns. The Hampton KHnutbuster has that special something that seems to allude all the others.

Perhaps some of the more fortunate bf.com members here would be kind enough to submit a photograph or two in here to show the rest of us.. Please?

I agree....Kerry's KHnutbuster is the King.

I can help with a picture of one of those as well but mine has a "zulu spear" blade (A-2) instead of a traditional sod buster style blade.

I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this picture. :D

I had Kerry make this knife for my wedding day.

Thanks kamagong, those look great, the pattern on the KHnutbuster scales is amazing. I just got an ivory swayback jack from Bret Dowell last week and I love it. What is the second knife down (the longer one with the acorn shield)?

The bone on the KHnutbuster is Case Antique Bone. The knife you are asking about is a Don Morrow Trapper. That knife was the result of a little miscommunication. I asked for a 4" knife, but I didn't provide enough specifics (I wanted 4" OAL). I meant one thing, Don understood another. So the result was a fairly large knife with a 4" blade. It all worked out though, and I'll be much better at communicating in the future.

Do you have any pictures of your new swayback? I'd love to see it.

Wow! that looks superb. I'd love to see a pic of the knife closed if you have one.

The way I keep posting the same pictures over and over I feel I'm like that old drunk on a bar stool that tells the same old stories again and again. With that being said, here is a Make Tison sodbuster in ATS-34 and blue/black carbon fiber.
