Soooo the smallest knife I carry is a delica.
I've been seeing posts of carrying a dragon fly. Which makes me think if I'm missing something?

I have a se tasman and that is a cutting machine. I was very impressed when I used it.

So am I missing out ?

I recently bought a Wharncliffe Dragonfly in K390 because I wanted to own the steel without breaking the bank. The Manbug was 20-30 bucks cheaper, but it does not have a pocket clip and is just a bit too small, whereas the Dragonfly can still accomodate a full grip, too, cause of the choil. I am glad I got the Dragonfly for a few bucks more, it was worth it, great fifth pocket knife.

I'm someone who also skews towards larger carries, I can easily aim 4+ inches, but this knife is not too small or insubstantial at all, definitely is a "real" knife. I recommend it, I don't feel like you can really go wrong with the Dragonfly... Salt version to never rust, K390 version to cut forever... and it is spydie-flickable, I remember someone once said a Delica was too small to Spydieflick, I was flicking the D-Fly instantly.

Yes, and Yes (to both questions).

Personally, a DF has served as my money clip of choice because of how well the knife serves as a knife by itself. It is a rare occurrence I do not have a larger option on me, but have learned through experience that a DF is so much more than its diminutive self. It amazes me how well it gets work done (example: have fitted a number of hickory hafts to hawk heads using my DF). It is also nice to have for those situ's regarding close proximity to sheeple.

EDIT: DF ZDP-189
Ben Franklin approves of this message ;-)

Yes, you need one. They’re not that expensive and come in handy.

Yes you should/maybe/possibly get one. I have the standard K390 model and it is great. I personally think the DF 2 is one of the best designs out there.

The dragonfly is one of my favorite pocket knives. Small, light, yet quite capable and useful. The design and ergonomics are impressive. Fits the - little big knife - moniker very well.

I prefer to remove the clip and just pocket carry the knife.

They very good knives. One of my faves in the SC range

Just keep and eye or feel for it as its easy to lose due to the size

This dragonfly and candiru goes everywhere I go, handy little knife.

The Wharncliffe Dragonfly is one of my favorite knives. It's small enough to go pretty much anywhere. It fits in my larger hand surprisingly well due to the shape. I'm a Wharncliffe fan in general but in this size, it seems especially handy.

I prefer stainless so mine is good ol' VG-10. It's not a fancy steel by today's standards but it's adequate for my EDC needs. Would I be happy to see them release a Wharncliffe Dragonfly in MagnaCut or S45VN? Sure! For how I use mine though, VG-10 has been A-OK.

There's a DLT sprint in 20CV that I would love to get my hands on, but I rarely see them on the exchange...perhaps because they're so awesome people hold onto them :P
