You need a drag fly?

Soooo the smallest knife I carry is a delica.
I've been seeing posts of carrying a dragon fly. Which makes me think if I'm missing something?
....
So am I missing out ?
imo, smallish could do with SE
just saying ;-)

I gave my mom a little VG-10 yellow Dragonfly about 8 years ago and she still has it and, I believe, carries it in her purse everyday. I gave my dad a Kershaw Offset, that huge old MIM injection molded hybrid "grind blade that's speed assisted with two torsion bars and the milled G-10. That things pretty cool too, he carrys it in his tank bag on his motorcycle.

I am on number 3. And it got put away. I just can’t seem to warm up to these. 🤔😔

Same here except it only took one. All the threads and posts saying these are “little big knives” and how they “punch above their weight class” lured me in. Nope, these were exactly what I expected, just another little ass knife. I continued to prefer the Delica so the Dragonfly has been relegated to riding in my golf bag.

Same. I had two. I figured it would be really handy, and cut bigger than it is, and all those other accolades that people use to describe it. That was not the case for me. It just felt too damn small in my hand.

The smallest Spyderco that I really find useful is the Chapparral, and that is just about perfect.

I should add to my post above, that the problem was the word with the FRN version. I had the G10 model and between the scale material and the steel liners it felt much more substantial, but in the end it was still too small for me.

I became an accidental collector a few years ago when I found an old molded clip FS model here on the forums. I’ve carried it all over the country since because it’s unassuming and stashes in baggage nicely. Now I have the PE Salt version and recently acquired a glow in the dark model with PE VG 10 blade. I love them just wish they were priced where they used to be.

A somewhat customized Dragonfly Salt in H-1 , with a hawkbill serrated blade, has been my EDC for several years. I sent the knife out and had the yellow handle Rit dyed black. I also purchased ,directly from Spyderco, a black wire pocket clip. With the handle and clip blackened, it is inconspicuous, but easy to reach and almost weightless, clipped on a pocket or behind a belt on the waistband. It can even fit completely in the watch pocket on blue jeans. Perfect for light everyday chores like box opening, string cutting and in an emergency, the hawkbill is a perfect cutter for a jammed seatbelt.
