Bruce,
I'm curious as to why you bring this up again. As I explained all of this to you LAST YEAR. When I deleted the Randall posts.
They are not custom knives consequetly they should not be discussed in a custom knife forum.
On the Les Robertson Custom Knife Forum (note the operative word here is CUSTOM)I can add or delete as I see fit.
When someone like you, Bruce. Posts comments about non-custom knives. I view this as inappropriate and offensive material.
Like other Blade Forum Moderators when this type of material is posted, it is their responsibility to either Move it to an appropriate place or delete it.
I chose to delete the offensive material.
Obviously, you feel very strong about this. My recommendation is to contact Mike or Spark and have them set you up with your own Randall Forum. This way you discuss whatever you would like about Randall's.
Here is your first topic:
Why are Randall Knives only an "Associate" member of the US Knifemakers Guild and not an "Voting" member.
You may want to contact the Guild President Al Pendray for a copy of the Guild By-Laws which will outline each level of membership as well as the requirements. If you were to do this you would understand why your posts were deleted.
Personally, I do not feel there is any correlation between me deleting a NON-CUSTOM Knife post and traffic being down.
Traffic on my site has been down, primarily due to my lack of involvement. Currently, I have several projects that require my attention.
Bruce, the title of my Forum says it all: The Les Robertson Custom Knife Forum. You know this and yet you still posted there. Unlike you, most of my customers understand that Randall's are not custom knives. Consequently, it's not something they buy nor (Like me) are they intersted in.
If me deleting a few NON-CUSTOM Knife posts early on. Has kept others like you from posting offensive and irresponsible material on my site. Then it was worth the small amount of typing that was required to explain this.
Bruce, there are plenty of places to discuss Randall Knives. You chose the wrong place to post your material. I explained to you why it was inappropriate. I further explained to you where you could find the information that would back what I was telling you.
I have posted that information here for you again.
I suggest you utilize this source of information and hopefully it will put the Randall issue to rest for you.
Bruce, the Guild "Associate" membership was Given to Randall Knives before I had ever even hear of a custom knife.
So now you should understand why your post was deleted. Personally, I thought you understood before.
Bruce, come on be honest with everyone here, didn't you post this just to stir the pot.
