I had Botach in my "Favorites" file, just a click away because, although I have never ordered anything from them, their prices were good. However, I have read so many negative things about them from different people that I'm now going to "delete" their site. There would not have been SO MANY complaints if there wasn't something to it. Good bye Botach.

Very strange... I order both personally and for my Department from Botach. Nevr had a problem, often sold out of "sale" stuff, but ad reads, limited quantities, no back-orders, so I don't have a beef with that. A Happy BOTACH Customer.

Like Copfish, I've also never had a problem with Botach. They will ship your order sometimes in partial shipments, (because they are out of some items), which can be bothersome. They did ship one order in three different shipments and then told me the order was now complete. It wasn't. There was one item I didn't get and I e-mailed them telling them so. They apologized and shipped the item right out. So I have to agree with Copfish that so far, I'm pretty pleased.
Of course I'm also one of those folks that is a big fan of the USPS. I have sent literally dozens of knives using 3 Day Priority Mail and have NEVER had one single problem. So I guess I have the OPPOSITE opinions on some things.
 
why dont you post YOUR experience and why you are displeased instead of just saying they are bad!!!

Well, I think they mean well because after 4 orders after a botched one, it keeps on getting better in terms of service. I see a lot of "Well, since you were screwed by Botach I'm sure as HELL not going to throw any business their way." In fact, I've had a lot of hostile messages and email just because I posted one endorsement for dozens of negative posts regarding Botach. Hell, I was bitching about Botach before some of them were on BFC or another forum so I've been on both sides of the fence there. I guess live and let live.

I've placed two orders for Sure-fire and Streamlight with them and got them fast. I haven't ordered any knives from them, so I cannot speak for that. I've only had good luck with them.
 
It amazes me that people still defend Botach. You might have not had a problem with them.....but if you do, like in my case, it is damned near impossible to recoup your money. It took me near three months for a refund on my CC for a Trijicon ACOG and that was after multiple phone calls, lies, etc.....all the while Botach collects interest on my money. This is a typical business scam. Advertise low price, take orders, charge the card, and then sit back and collect the interest until you either have to refund the money or you have enough orders of the same item to get a quantity discount. Either way...you collect $$ while the customer sucks air.
 
I don't think it's wrong for someone to say they haven't had a problem with Botach. No one is defending them, just giving their opinion on their deals. I've read all the threads here and on the the flashlight forums myself. Personally, I've done two deals with them with no problems and the prices were right. Everyone has to read all these threads and then do what they think is right for them. Personally, I think it's best to check with them for availability prior to ordering online. If they ever screw me, I'll let you know for sure, but at times, their prices can't be beat.


 
Just my 0.02 nonbox, but I remember a post you made where you were looking for the absolute lowest price on the net. You said customer service was not important to you. Looks like you found your boys. Pay a little more and get service.

I've had generally good success with Botach. I've order dozens of times from them and have never had a serious problem. Twice I had to call them to find out what happened to my order (they were not in stock), but they quickly made it right. I would suggest that anyone ordering from them NOT use the online shopping system- call them. Otherwise, if it's not in stock you'll probably not hear from them and be clueless about your order status.

I guess if what garyz had to say is true, you got what you deserved Nonbox. I also agree with Tom Mayo. If you haven't had a personal bad experience with them, don't come here and start a negative thread about them. If you have, then let's hear it. If anyone checks in here even once a month, it's enough to see a negative post about them. If you then order from them just so you can save $10, you have no right to come here and bitch. It's a trade off. You are getting a price break. So don't expect to get the same as some of the companies who charge a little more and give you impeccable service. These Botach threads are really getting tiresome for anyone with half a brain. And before anyone jumps in and says, "Noone is forcing you to click on them", I will say that you have no choice BUT to see the juvenile topic headers as you scroll down. One more thing, this is the GOOD, Bad & Ugly forum. If someone has something good to say about them, they have every right to.

I have posted many times that real problems will be handled by the owner of Botach. Contact "BK" and then see if you have a real gripe. He is a reasonable man.... How many of you nay sayers have ever spoken with BK??????

There have been numerous complaints about BOTACh at AR15.com in the paast year. I've never ordered from them but from what I've read I'll stay away.
