Apparently this horse hasn’t been beaten enough.

Even though I explicitly stated to not respond to any email claiming to be me, I just had another member email me asking me when their knife is going to be shipped for a transaction done over a week ago….. via email.

Maybe there should be a banner over the sales threads discouraging from using email?

Apologies if this isn’t warranted for GBU. Just trying to get the word out even more to STOP SENDING RANDOM EMAILS YOUR MONEY.

Apparently you can't fix stupid frugality.

Some folks just can't, or won't, be convinced that it is not a better idea to just take a chance of losing their money, (tens, or hundreds, or even thousands of dollars), than spend ten bucks for a year of being able to communicate privately with sellers and their fellow members without being taken in by thieves.

I've given up feeling sorry for folks who just won't learn. (Though I still try to help them where we can.)

I still just dont get it. How can you send someone your hard earned money from an unsolicited email? If you didnt give the seller your email to begin with how in the hell would they even know to contact you? So….. weird

Because many of these folks have posted their email addresses in public on this site in the past...and the thieves are not asleep at the wheel.
Folks want the deal so bad that common sense is overridden when someone reaches out purporting to be the seller.

All for saving ten measly bucks.

But do they just think the seller took the time to go back through and find their email as soon as they say ill take it? Haha its ridiculous. I hate anyone has lost money, ive been scammed by a hacked account (guy i actually knew had his account hacked, they got access to everything he had) on another forum. It happens, this is just unlike anything ive ever seen.

People jump over dollars to pick up nickels all the damn time.......Sad state.of affairs.........

I put this dead center of every sales post I make.. there are definitely some people who just choose to ignore warnings though 😂
