I am in need of a new leather belt. Plain silver-colored buckle. Black leather, and built to last. The last several belts have all been garbage and eventually look like trash. I have been looking online but reviews for belts as top end as Filson seem to indicate that long-lasting belts do not exist anymore. I wish Saddleback would make me a beltAnybody have any suggestions?
I have used belts made by Mitch Rosen for Dillion Precision for a few years now. These are double thickness cowhide are are very study as the are made for holding the weight of handguns. Also have a belt made by Wild Bills Concealment Holsters (Located in NC I believe) that I have worn for over 10 years. I looks like crap now, but is still a great belt.
rayban, if they made something tougher than a gun belt it would in short order start being called a "gun belt"I don't always carry 2 pounds of steel on my hip but crappy looking wimpy belts piss me off

May cut my own in a few years. I usually keep a shoulder or two in 7~8# & 9~11# around for toolingBeen thinking of making a belt in 2 pieces probably 4 to 6# weight with a piece of heavy nylon sandwiched between them glued and stitched to make it more rigged.
IF it will ever be used as a gun belt I can recommend Galco Contour belt and something from The Beltman.com. A STIFF gun belt assures that your firearm holster is where you want it or put it.
Pretty, limp dress belts don't cut it for that use.
