Do stabilized scales need to cure?

Got a shipment of stabilized scales back from K&G. Do these need to cure a while before I shape and finish? They're pretty sticky. If they do need to cure, is there a way to speed the process?

No, just clean them up and they'll be fine.

There is almost always excess resin on them. Sand it off. If you want to let them air out a week or so, it won't hurt, but they are fine to use immediately when received. The smell goes away fast as you grind into the scales in shaping the handle.
