I am starting to see more threads whining about "what to do?" Do the right thing. Hell, if you think there is a problem, there probably is. If you think that some bone head will trade a Sebenza for your Spyderco Cricket and you send off the Cricket and get nothing in return, should you whine? Sure, but don't expect sympathy for being stupid. On the other hand, you strike a deal with a forumite, send off your knife. He sends off his part of the deal, you get his knife. He claims he did not get your knife, what do you do? If you did not send it insured, suck it up bud. Do what ever you have to do to make the deal good. I ALWAYS use insurance or Delivery Confirmation. That way there is a record of delivery. Should the guy have to wait the ninety days it takes the Postal Orifice to churn out a claim? Nope, you should send something to make the deal right. When the PO pays off the claim, you get paid off. If there is a problem, resolve it. As a 1st Sergeant I know once said, bad news does not get better with age. Ignore something and it comes back to bite you on the a$$ harder. As a radio talk show host is fond of saying. "Do the right thing." (Rant off)

Right on! You're trading with friends here. :)

Packages sometimes get delayed in shipping, sometimes long delayed. If a knife doesn't show up right away I wouldn't panic -- but I would make it amply clear to the other guy that if it doesn't show up I'm good for it and he has nothing to worry about.

Communication is vital. Tell the other guy right away when you get his knife or money. Don't panic if he doesn't answer email for a few days, though; there are all kinds of reasons he might not be getting it. Call him voice phone or send snailmail before you start accusing him of ignoring you....

I think the short answer is : Be a man and handle your problems without crying to your pals for emotional support.
