With all the talk about ShopTalk etiquette lately, I've been wondering if we need a second moderator to help Stacy.

It's not that Stacy isn't doing a great job, but there's no reason for him to bare all the burden of keeping us yahoos in line.

*I am not after the job and have no little interest in the position, I'm just bringing it up because Mark Williams hasn't posted on BF in a year and a half and Stacy shouldn't be the only one receiveing hateful emails. We should spread the love...

I think he does need some help.

Stacy sent me an email from the guy who is using a Hushmail account and it was really bad. Since the guy was referring to a thread I posted on I think Stacy thought it was me who was sending him nasty email....which I assure you it is not.

Shop Talk could benefit from another moderator here just so Stacy is not the focus of being the sole moderator.

I've wondered that myself, there used to be two and we don''t want Stacy to burnout.

I think that if everyone who sees something questionable, should report it with the little triangle button and whatever mods are online can see it and deal with it.

I would think that a Mod should be able to appreciate and value views that he doesn't agree with... To appreciate the views of both Kevin Cashen and Tai Goo, while keeping the peace between two conflicting views.

I think another mod would be a great idea. I guess I didn't realize that there was only one. Stacy does a great job!

There are lots of moderators in Bladeforums. Some have specific areas, as I have in The Knifemakers Discussion Forum ( which includes Shop Talk and ATG).
Other mods and super mods, like Morrow and Esav regularly drop in and take care of things they see needing moderation.

I am working quietly on getting another moderator that will be good for this forum.
