I have been tossing around the idea of becoming a ontario knife dealer. Do you all want to see more of these? I know they are pretty well made for the money. The D2 is probably the ones I would carry along with the xm folders.

I think I could offer a pretty good price for these. Let me know what you all think.

Moving to the Dealer Forum.

So I just called to check my dealer status and the lady told me she'd mail me out a catalog. I said well cant I get a price list by email to get this going.

Her response: "yea i guess i could do that, it will be a little bit though"

so I will be calling back and hopefully talking to someone else.

I have many many Ontario knives spread across their entire lineup. Machetes, Spec Plus, Old Hickory, SERE knife, folders, you name it. They make a reliable knife for the money but usually I have to refinish/put my own edge on it. That said Rowen makes the RAT knives for just a few dollars more and you get scary sharp edge, unbelievable finish and a lifetime you return it, we send you a new one warranty. I think most people on these forums already realize that and you would have a much better time stocking the Rat Cutlery knives versus the Ontario made ones. Not to mention they have some exciting new models in the works.

When it comes to the Ontario RAT knives...no thanks. I'd rather support RAT Cutlery themselves. Better product, better warranty. :)

You're right fortytwoblades. Jeff at rat cutlery just received my application. Look for them soon here. I'm putting up a new website soon in the next two days!! Thanks guys.

Not for me. I'm all about RAT blades but I'll pass on the Ontario stuff. Looking forward to checking out your site!

Ontario Knife Co. Builds an excellent knife for the money. You will have to rethink the D2 part, they have phased out the D2 steel. Most of their knives are 1095 and 5160. RAT Cutlery is another fine choice, they don't stay on the shelf long. I don't think they have anything in the D2 steel yet, the RAT RC knives are 1095 steel too.

Is that official now that Ontario dropped the D2 knives ?

Will they be dropping the rest of the old 1095 RAT knives soon ?

Yes it is official Ontario phased out the D2 steel. We (CRKS) bought up the remaining stock. As far as I know the 1095 Ontario RAT knives will be around for a while.

I do know there are allot of Ontario RAT knives in dealers inventories and wholesaler warehouses how ever they will soon be depleted.
