Do you carry a knife at home?
A small folder in your pocket? Maybe not so small, 3.5 inches long? Or even an XL folder?
Or maybe even a fixed blade?

I do. I always have something in my home pants pockets, plus if I wear a sweater in winter I may have another folder or two in its pockets.

Why do I do that? Just because I like the feeling!
 
I'm with Jackknife. If I have pockets or a waistband there is a knife in/on it. I long ago gave up on trying to use my teeth or fingernails on stuff and I don't want to run downstairs ( or up) just to get something that should be with me. My knife carrying habit has gone on for over 50 years now and has never been a problem. I see no reason to change now.
 
I keep a folder clipped to my pocket. Otherwise, there are few rooms in the house that don't have many knives, the kitchen having probably the 3rd most knives. My desk is strewn with fixed blades and autos and nearby display cases and shelves are full of swords, daggers, large Bowies, and of course a smatchet. My night table has about 10 knives on it with many more on a bookcase.
I usually have 1-3 WIP projects on my desk also since looking at them frequently helps the design and build processes.
 
Yes if I’m working in the yard but no if I’m inside the house. In my house there is almost always a knife within arm’s reach or just a couple steps away unless I’m in the bathroom. No need to have one in my pocket.

More often than not, I’m sitting down when I need a pocketknife inside the house. It’s easier to grab a knife off the end table or desk than try to dig one out of my pocket while seated.
 
No. I keep cutting tools at various places in my home where I typically need to cut things. But I rarely need to cut things outside of the kitchen. I don't like stuff in my pockets or on my belt when sitting around at home. If I go outside, even for just a minute I put a knife in my pocket.
 
Yep. Whatever Sebenza was in my pocket at work as well as the ever present Mnandi. When jeans get traded for shorts or sweats the Mnandi goes into those pockets along with a Peak Eiger AAA flashlight.

There's 6 knives on the TV stand. Another...I don't know...7-8 in the dining room. Asking about the kitchen is slow. 5 in the hallway. Bunches in the bedroom. Garage. Front porch.

I'm not carrying around a knife inside if I'm in gym shorts. If I go to the store. I slip on a neck knife. (That reminds me) Make that 7 knives on the TV cabinet.

I'm glad you didn't ask about firearms. I wouldn't say anything about those.
