Do you carry more than one knife?

I thought you couldn't be a member of Bladeforums unless you carried two or more knives at all times...:indecisiveness:

Not unusual for me to have a Vic Classic, and a Vic Farmer or Tinker, and some other folder or fixed blade knife with me. It is also not uncommon for me to have a knife stashed in my bag, in my car, or on my bike. I also keep a multitool handy on the bike or in the pack. So I typically carry 2-5 "knives" at any one time.

If somthin' needs cuttin', I probably have a tool that will tackle the job. :untroubled:

I have a SAK classic on my keychain, I hardly ever use the blade, but the scissors are great, and I like having tweezers with me as well. I also carry juice c2 with me, which doesn't see much use but I like to have it around. Those are usually paired with a folder or small fixed blade. I want to add a traditional slippy to my EDC, just because I think they are neat, but it might be a bit overkill.

After posting I did a quick self-pat-down and found I had: 1) a SwissBianco Rambler, 2) a Vic Tinker, 3) Spyderco Delica, and 4) a Front Sight neck knife (HAK).

These things just end up in my pockets and such.

I have to wonder you said you will NEVER use a knife for self defense.... this confuses me are you saying that if your life was in danger (which you wont know when this will happen it will be spontaneous) you would not use one of your knives to survive?

I don't know about the OP, but I've been carrying and using knives for over 50 years. In that time I have never had to use one for self-defense. So, I don't plan my carry based on an occurrence of such low probability.

But, I do carry both a traditional and a one-hander. I carry the traditional because I find them generally more useful than one-handers. I do ~99% of my cutting with a traditional. But I carry the one-hander for those times when I need a knife and only have one hand free.

I usually carry two knives in a rotation, with a constant Vic Alox Cadet as a constant companion, so usually three knives at once.

Sometimes I sub a Spyderco Squeak for the Leaf Blade UKPK as well.

I typically carry one knife, like you not for "self defense" my knives are tools.
I decide on which knife to carry and I have 2 different sizes that I might carry. A 3+ inch for normal type stuff and a 2- inch for an office or other enviroment where a larger knife might not be as welcome by the general public. I had a Puma Prince lock back and a small Boker lock back. I lost both recently when I moved, along with a couple other folders. I just bought a a Puma IP Amaranth Compania 2 as replacement for the Prince as kind of a gamble, and thus far it has been not only a suitable replacement for the Puma but has surpassed it on many levels. For the Boker I still don't have a suitable replacement yet and currently have a cheap but rather clever and well thought out Chinese made lock back.
I carry only lockbacks, I have had trouble with multi blade knives folding up when I don't want them too and and they tend to close hard and fast sometimes cutting me. Lockbacks I never cut myself with at all.

For fishing and hunting I have 2 other knives that I use, an old Buck 119 (when they were still 440C and came with a leather sheath) and a Remington Big game folder and might carry one or even both of those at once along with a pocket knife for general use. I don't use the same knife for food AND other stuff.

I typically carry two knives at a time. I like to carry a Cold Steel Super Edge on my keys, thay ways I always have it. I also carry a tactical folder, like today I'm carrying a CRKT Hissatsu. However sometimes I carry a crkt bear claw along with my tactical folder and super edge. But usually only when I'm unsure of the areas I'll be going to.
