Do you carry tip up or down in your pocket?

Ive never been poked going tip up. If I did and it was my fault, well then I deserved it. If I did and it was the knife's fault, I would take the clip off and never carry it on me again. EVER. A well designed knife will NEVER hurt its user under any but the most ridiculous circumstances, even under hard use, the knife should fail in a way that doesn't hurt it's user.
All true sir. Plus once you get in the realm of customs, I've seen many of them only come with one type of configuration, tip up. I'm generalizing, but tip up shouldn't be a problem on customs because they have superior quality to factory knives.

Tip up in right front pocket, if I'm going for a crossdraw in my left front pocket, it's tip down. That's how I always roll

Tip up. That's all the knife does. It's designed to stay shut. Guess that's a speed issue, but speed has not been a problem for me.

Down. The hole is basically right there, and I can open it when it's tip down. Tip up, yes, my thumb is right at the hole, but I have to readjust the knife to get into grip.

Tip up for me as well. I've found that it's easier to deploy because it sits in my pocket the way I would hold it.

I prefer all my Spydercos the only knife I'll own with hole opening to be tip down with the exception of waved models. Other the conventional Spydercos I want everything else to be tip up.

I prefer tip-down because I don't have to re-adjust my grip once the knife is drawn.
And since I avoid liner-locks and frame-locks (prefer lockbacks), I never worry about the knife opening in my pocket.

I do carry some knives tip-up....like the waved Endura 4. ;)

I hate tip down, I try to avoid at all costs, unless it's a really nice one, or SPYDERCO's, because of the hole. Tip down, deep pocket baby!!!! And I have had knives open on me in my pocket, tip up or down, mostly benchmades though, the liner locks have no detent, and it is not pleasant.

always tip up, the only 2 knives i have had probs with opening in my pocket were both tip down, a spyderco gunting & joht singh khalsa.

i have a few very nice knives which i dont carry anymore due to them being tip down.

i suppose either way will work it just depends on what ya are used to/what ya have practiced with, & i am used to/have practiced with tip up.

Tip down. My thumb naturally falls on the thumb stud or hole resulting in a secure deployment. As well, tip down seems to result in less pocket lint at the pivot.
