Do you EDC the same blade every day or rotate,

I rotate between Benchmades 940-1 & 761, a Spyderco Yojimbo 2 in S90v, and a Farid Mehr mini K2.

My Brad Southard AVO...every day this year...since I bought it...
I have other knives...none better.
I consider it to be a flipper "mid-sized" Sebbie clone...a perfect size for my hand...and the knife that Chris never made...

When I buy an interesting new knife, it's the main one I carry for as long as it takes to either like it or love it or hate it or get bored with it or simply decide it doesn't fit in with my needs at the time. Right now I'm carrying a Benchmade 710 daily, one of my newest knives. I'm finding it to be very likable (maybe even lovable), useful and practical but the 4" blade means it's not a knife I can carry everywhere I go.

I have several knives that see frequent rotation--Spyderco Gayle Bradley, Centofante 3 and Dragonfly and a Case Peanut. Those seem to stay in the rotation no matter what else I buy.

The rotation of EDCs is my pleasure in the morning, every day. Sometimes, I keep the existing crew for one, two days or more.

I have a work rotation of cheaper knives and gear, and a rotation of afterwork/weekend knives and gear. It also depends on where I'm going that day.

I carry a large 111mm SAK everyday. I rotate another knife (modern or traditional) with the SAK based on my whims and how the wind blows, and what I'm doing that day. Lately the second knife has been one of these; Spydie Kiwi 4, Spydie Native 5, ZT 0770CF, or a GEC #42 in a leather slip. The Delica gets tossed into the mix too, but have been liking the Kiwi 4 a lot.

Just got a Chinese made AG Russell Sowbelly Trapper and I want to carry it and use it. Never had one of his imports. Probably will keep it in a leather sleeve in my back pocket. It was bought to use, not gather dust. If I like it, I'll buy some more from AG.

The Sowbelly Trapper is a great knife. You will love it. It's one of my favourites as it spans across the uses of a small folder to those of a big folder. It's nicely placed, so to say.

Constant Daily is my ZT0770cfM4 and my Mozolic custom.
Varies Daily my Vic Castaway, Vic Pioneer, large 21 seb, dpx heat, an Old pre war traditional, Becker BK15 and a few others.

Best part of the morning is picking out which ones get carried for the day.

Rotation. A SAK is pretty constant, but the modern folder changes out periodically. I used to pick a different one almost daily (just had a few on my nightstand, and I'd grab one at random in the morning). More recently (in the last year or so), I'll keep with the same knife for anywhere from a week to a couple of months at a time.

I do both. I have a Victorinox Alox Cadet that I carry every day.

I then also carry something else along with it. I don't have a set rotation in that second slot. Sometimes I will carry the same second knife for weeks or months at a time, sometimes it's a different one every day. Recently I have been in the "different one every day" mode.

The only knife I truly EDC is the classic red cellidor scaled Victorinox Rambler on my keychain. My habit is to also carry a slipjoint or small knife loose in my left front pocket and a one-hander clipped to my right front pocket where I also carry my keys, coins, lighter, etc. Sometimes I switch up my pocket knives, but the pair I tend to carry the most (maybe five times a week) includes an alox Vic Pioneer and a Large Seb 21 Insingo.

I've carried a small SAK either on my keys or in the watch pocket of my jeans for the past 25 years or so. A small SAK is, to be perfectly honest, all the pocket knife I need on a daily basis. I love the alox models but until they start including the little plastic pick and tweezers, I'll keep buying my keychain SAKs in cellidor. So handy.

Although my Rambler is perfectly capable of handling most common cutting chores, I rarely use the blade. I prefer a longer cutting edge and bigger handle (for both comfort and control.) The slippie I carry LFP actually does most of my cutting. My one-handers only come out if I'm faced with a prolonged cutting chore or a quick convenient cut if my other hand is already occupied.

I like my Pioneer because it offers tremendous utility in a compact package. I probably use the drivers and awl more than the blade. The silver alox is either very wear-resistant or does a good job camouflaging pocket wear--the result is the same: the knife keeps looking good after years of carry and use. It's also well-built, affordable and easy to maintain.

Why the Insingo? I enjoy owning, carrying and using a quality folder and CRK does it in spades with the Sebenza, imo. Simple, elegant, yet robust design, the Insingo is both classy and capable. Maybe I don't really need to carry a modern one-hander, but since I do, I feel I could do a whole lot worse. The only person I've ever impressed with my Seb is me... :)

I rotate right now it's between my Spyderco Southard, Benchmade 943, mini-grip, 51, Cold Steel Code 4, or Large Sebenza 21

At work (dress clothes environment) I carry a friendly looking little Case Peanut (either a yellow handle CV or Amber bone). They ride well in dress pants, don't attract unwanted attention, and are plenty of knife for that environment.

On my own time, I usually carry a Vic Spirit multitool paired with an Izula.

I carried many knives during many years and finally got "the one" a while ago, the only knife I've carried every day, no exception, since I got it.

My trusty, awesome Spyderco Salt. All my other blades, SAKs and multitools vary from day to day, while this stays with me.

Well guys, the collection is just getting started so I don't have much of a rotation yet! I've been carrying the newest purchase up until the next purchase just to see how each one carries! I don't want something too heavy or too long since I work in an office, but nothing I have so far meets that criteria. Won't be long now before I have a few 8"-5 oz. folders to see how big I can go. But for now I will rotate as I receive them, just to get a feel for how each knife rides. Unless I'm dressing up, then I'm probably going with the Gent's folder of which is the majority of the collection, so far!

I rotate through a few dozen knives, and often don't make it through the day with the same knife. Lots of Spydercos, Kershaws and Benchmades, though a Buck Vantage, Cold Steel or CRKT will slip in there too. Occasionally a fixed blade. Primary knives include the Spyderco Delica, Endura, and Centofante III, and Kershaw Knockout. I prefer a thin profile that carries easily in the pocket. Honorable mention to the Military and Para 2.

and finally got "the one" a while ago

Tell us please about the black spray job. The why, the what for, etc. Reminds me of Jamie Hyneman, who sprays his tools yellow for easy identification.
