I've got too many other things I enjoy doing, so I can't justify owning anything just for the sake of collecting. I own one Large Insingo and it's for using.
If I own a knife, it will get carried! However if I am using one of my more treasured ones I will carry an additional knife in case I have to cut something messy or corrosive
If you gave me a mammoth ivory Damascus annual with Chris Reeve autograph (something super rare) I would use and sharpen/polish that knife the first night.....
Lg micarta Insingo is EDC but I also carry my Umnumzaan sometimes. My lg micarta Sebenza is reserved to go with my Oeser Zulu slipjoint for nice occasions. Like midnight mass this Christmas.
I only have one CRK. I well-loved large classic with micarta inlays. It was already a user when I bought it and I intend to continue using it. I love a user's character.
My collection consists of users and "safequeens".
While it's nice to fondle a safequeen I absolutely love to use a good knife.
You can get so much gain ( hope this is the right word) out of using a knife - so much more than if you only admire it.
But then I can't get myself to use some of the "nicer" ones, as I'm afraid to ruin the finish.

My rotation CRK EDC at the moment are a small micarta insingo and a large blackfood.
But all are used at least on time.
When I want to be discreete I use a Mnandi
