Do you enjoy shooting polymer tactical guns" ?

I've been carrying "plastic" daily for about 20 years. First Glock, now Sig-Sauer. I find them marvelously efficient weapons...
However, if I were shooting for fun, likely I'd pick something else. A good .22 auto is a blast; I had a target-model Ruger many years ago that was one of the most accurate pistols I ever handled.

I recently got a glock 19 and so far I've learned I shoot my CZ 75 PCR much better. Seems to be me adjusting to the trigger I believe. Feels good in hand and poitn well...I'm just pushing everything left and have fliers.

I'm going to keep trying with the glock for awhile and see if I can improve...if not, that will be getting sold for a new CZ rifle.

If I shoot purely for fun I have either a Ruger Super Blackhawk, or a Savage .22 single shot rifle. The revolver has the old timey factor and a big kaboom, and the single shot rifle has the precise plinking factor (that lasts all day long). However with .22 being as scarce as it is right now, Im looking into pellet guns so Im not wasting my ammo supplies when it cant be restocked.

With "tactical polymer guns" it isn't so much the gun that I enjoy, but the act of honing my skills. It is less about the gun and more about drawing the gun, firing shot #1, Shooting while moving, Malfunction drills. Etc.

I don't have many guns. The ones I do have need to fill multiple roles (i.e., home defense and having fun). I want guns that are enjoyable to shoot as well as being good weapons.

Make my pistol a 1911.
