Do you hate it when the options you want on a knife are only in limited editions?

I saw a Benchmade 940 in a color that I preferred to the normal green color but it was limited edition. I feel the same way about the Spyderco Manix 2 that has a full flat grind and comes in blue or in moon glow. If I buy a knife I want to use it. But that sprint run limited edition print on the blade is like a constant reminder that you are holding a collectors knife and that you are reducing it's value when you use it. That made me all the more happy about that the M390 710 just came out with a non-limited edition model.

Yeah I hate it, I dont care about the value though. I just hate it because my limited income means I just about always miss out on sprint runs in the features that I like.

If I can get my hands on one, I like it when they are limited editions, not just for resale value, I just enjoy owning them, they feel a bit more special
