Do you have a blade budget for 2004?

I can spend however much I can save up. If I avoid impulse buys I should be able to pick up a few really nice pieces this year.

I will actually be done collecting knives pretty soon. All I have left is an ER Nemesis folder, ER Fulcrum, LW/Harsey Tactical folder, Large plain(without anodized thumbstuds) Sebenza, 710HS PE, and a MOD Ayoob Razorback PE. I have everything else I want... My budget will be whatever it takes to get these last few. I realized I have too many that I never carry or use. After that, It will take A LOT to get me to actually purchase something. I wanna MAKE knives now, so I'm primarily saving this year and well into next. After the last few acquisitions, I won't mess with knives 'til I'm back in the good ol' Pacific Northwest!:)

Budget? What Budget? We don't need no steenkin budgets.

Actually, I'm guessing it will be a bit higher than last year, so maybe in the $3,500-$4,000 range. Man, I need to get a grip on this!

NOT! :D :p

The wife has me on a very tight noose these days. She put me on a budget last year. Set up a separate bank account (so she could keep track). Last summer was bad. . .many purchases and then Blade arrived.

Still have the knife bank account. . .but as of 1 Jan 04, funding is accomplished on a quarterly basis.

It sucks ! LOL

LOL. Isn't it amusing how often we set ourselves up for failure. I have yet to set budgets for any of my addictions. I frequent a shop that sells fine wine, cigars and knives. If they were to ever carry firearms and add a topless cabaret, I'd never leave. Except for trips to the guitar/cd/watch/army-navy surplus/computer store down the street!:D

My budget is going to be five knives. Since I don't know what they will be or their associated prices I try not to use dollar amounts to define the budget. I'm hoping that by keeping the total small, the overall cost will be smaller(er) :)

Between $500 and a $1000, there are a few customs, and a lot more production models, the more I can sell the bigger my budget.:)

I don't set a budget, but know what I can afford and what will cause the wife to use a 'sharp' tongue on me. Damn guns keep cutting into my knife funds. Right now I am holding back and saving up for the Eugene show in April. Only problem is that there is a gun show next door that weekend. Decisions... Decisions... No way of telling what I might come home with. Hopefully something that cuts and something that goes bang. :D
