Do you have a Grail Production knife?

Yes, you can own one, you just can't carry it in public. Anywhere on your own property or where you have permission to be (like a friend's farm/ranch).

There are no sharp/pointy objects that are illegal to own in Texas. The only criteria is whether it is legal to carry in public or illegal to carry in public. No debates over concealed or open carry, either.

Thanks for the info
Is the illegal to carry part because it is double edged?

CRK BHQ exclusive large insingo with carbon fiber inlays
There have been a couple ug and cgg sebs that I have really liked. Also, those mammoth inlays look beautiful but are way out of my price range.
While I'm dreaming, I would love to get my hands on a large regular with a bg42 blade.

Thanks for the info

The double-edge alone would make it illegal. The 10" blade length alone would make it illegal. Two illegals is still illegal.:D

The requirements to be "legal" for public carry in Texas is simple - single edged and a blade length of less than 5.5".

Maybe next legislative session we'll get the bill passed that would eliminate the term "illegal knife" from the penal code. This year, we missed it by just "that much".

Ever hear why that ____ "refused to hear it" or whatever the deal was? I had my confetti all ready man. :(

To my eye, one of the most beautiful production folders (LE) ever made.

The bill passed out of committee and went to the calendar for a whole Senate vote. The chairman of that senate committee, John Whitmire, from Houston, got in a pissing match with the House sponsor of the bill of ANOTHER BILL ENTIRELY, no connection what-so-ever to the knife bill. So Whitmire pulled the bill from the calendar and it never got put back on.

Definitely my Kizer bad dog with the nuke engraving. Just pulled the trigger on it the other day and it is SMOOTH, and to think it will only get smoother is kinda scary. 4 1/4" of s35vn with a slashy recurve blade is just the bomb!

I'm gonna' go with this one, a Mammoth Ivory Bark Small Sebenza with Devin Thomas Ladder Damascus blade. Now I can't afford to find any more grails, but if I could it would be a CRK Annual Sebbie.

Officer, this little inlayed Sebenza is really growing on me. Love the mammoth bark and the Damascus blade. I thought ordering a plane Jane Seb 21 with double silver lugs would keep the fever from flaring. But all the sudden I feel kind of CRK sick.

This one:

It took me quite long to find it, but luckily I got one. The special thing about it is that it's made out of CPM 3V steel - that I really like.

This is one of 3 Grail knives for me. I'm on the list for my 2nd Grail and my 3rd is within reach but a bit over budget.

This was my grail for quite a while. I never, ever thought I'd get one. The stars aligned and a trade + cash was arranged, and she was mine. (Happy happy happy happy new grail knife dance for the ages!!!!!!! :) :) :) )

I had quite a collection of Busse knives and had to sell em. I'm clawing my way bit by bit back to where I was. Only took me 14 years...

I started with what I consider the crown jewel. I mean, it's a Busse Battle Mistress. It is the quintessential "badass knife". There is none better. Grail achieved. :D

May not be a grail to others, but to me the BM 760LFTi is close to it. I wanted one for some years and then the rumors of discontinuation came around so I got off my butt and snagged one here on the exchange. BM started cutting back on the ti framelocks, a few models were disco'd around the same time. I don't think the LFTi sold well, lots of reports of lock rock, poor detent probably scared the serious buyers away. I did my research and found the reports were exaggerated. About my only complaint is the detent is minimal, but I like my pivots tighter than what usually comes from the factory. Knife is rock solid and I am glad I got it when I did.

Yeah the LFTI is fantastic; smooth like a Sebenza but beefier and more bad-ass with that CPM M4 blade... I scooped this one for $115.00 last year off of the exchange; it was in far nicer condition when it first arrived LOL. :foot::rolleyes:;):D
