Do you have a knife that you are associated with?

I hope to keep this one long enough to be associated with it.

That is simply amazing. What are those handles?

It is elephant ivory from the outside surface or "bark" of the tusk. Nice checks in there huh? :) I carry this guy every day...a 3 5/8" swayback jack.

My family & friends know I'll have a Stockman pattern on me pretty much all the time. I inherited my granddad's old Robeson, and that got me hooked on that pattern. Sometimes I have a black SAK Huntsman as well.

thx - cpr

ps - Kerry - beautiful knife.

Speaking of tusks, when you going to bring back that "Bringing Sexy Back" homely avatar? It always made me laugh.

As for me, I don't think it would be one knife but hopefully will recognize that I always preferred a cattleman or a stockman pattern over others regardless of the actual knife I carried.

This is a great question and really got me thinking...
The sad fact is I really haven't carried one knife long enough for people to associate it with me.... I think that will be changing though as I have been liquidating a good share of my collection. I have sold some on here and a couple close friends of mine came over to the house and just about cleaned me out lol.. Had to do a little hand slappin when they saw the red bones though :D
...
I really want to get back to the point where I have less material things.
I can honestly say that even though I liked all the knives I have sold, I don't miss them at all....

I guess to answer the original question, the one knife I really plan on carrying and building a bond with, is an early 70's red bone Copperhead that has been my favorite carry and fondle knife as of late...
