Do you have a knife with nice Staglon or Delrin?

Some of the faux jigged bone synthetic looks really good, hardly decipherable from bone, at least in a photograph.

The faux stag, on the otherhand, just doesn't do it for me. It seems like the more it's supposed to look like stag, the cheaper it looks.
The Remington bullet knife is OK, probably because to me it looks like faux stag bone, rather than faux stag. Or maybe it's the color-- amber rules!

Thanks for the comments Willgoy. This is some French faux stag

I like the faux for it's faux-ness. If it looks super realistic or super fake I like it. Too close to the middle, I don't. Trying to think of another example of what I mean...kind of like fake leather. If it looks really fake, it can look cool because it doesn't look like leather. If it looks really good, cool. If it looks almost good, it looks like fake leather. My head hurts. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Like, I dig UH's, but they look fake as hell. I like the old schrades...they look almost real. In the middle ground, I don't find as much that I like. And I love that Rem, cause it's a beast and I got mine from a friend.

I know exactly what you mean. If it looks like they tried to imitate something and failed, you don't like it. If it is so far off it doesn't even look like they tried to imitate a natural material, it is okay. If it is close enough to pass for the material it is okay.. I pretty much feel the same way.

I like the scales on this Remington I bought a while back...its tough, doesnt react to water/blood/etc or stain and its easy to clean. I dont have an issue with synthetics.

The Schrade and Schrade Walden open stock knives were tastefully done.

Great picture Hal. It would be awful hard to look at them, and not want to own at least one... As those of us know that have used them, they took a terrific edge too.

I couldn't have picked a better place for my 8,000 post, than here in Traditional with these beauties

Hal, what is the model number of the third one from the right, with the sheepfoot nick on the mark side?

That is an 895, 3 9/16" with carbon steel blades.

Here us an 881 EDC, and Mike, they still take a keen edge. :)

Hal, that was an awesome line up of knives there! and I think that just underlines the fact that anyone who love knives as much as we do, just could not walk past one of those knives and pick it up!
Thank you everyone for showing your photo's of these great:thumbup: knives
