Do you have a pocket knife that does it all?

For me, nothing beats a SAK for all around utility. And, of the ones I have, the one I carry most is the Spartan. It disappears in pockets and has a tool set that covers almost any task you run into day-to-day.

I hate to sound trite by saying "I would be lost without it", but I would be lost without it.

For me a 4" stockman is quite adequate for the KNIFELY duties I run into; cleaning fish, cleaning land critters, cutting lunch, office cutting tasks, etc. And this particular one looks great too!

I thought I was the only one who carries a opinel. Love the thin profile of the blade. Slices like a dream

The knife that I would use for a "do it all / do anything" folder would be my mini-CQC15. For a FB in the same category I'd take my ESEE 4.

Nope, don't have a knife that will do it all. I've got knives for a specific purpose and use them accordingly.

My "do all" knife is one of these three paired with my leatherman rebar. Usually I carry the Gayle Bradley and the Rebar; unless I'm at work, then I only carry the rebar. I do merchandising/distribution so the public doesn't look at my leatherman as a "knife"; and plus I get blades, pliers, snips, screwdrivers, awl, bottle opener, and a wood chisel (mod) all in one pocket:thumbup:

I'd probably sell all my knives before my leatherman since its the most versatile thing beside a knife itself.

If you don't have a leatherman yet, you have been missing out...

I honestly can't think of a single knife task that I can not do with my 111mm SAK Adventurer and any number of the other SAKs that people like a lot. I have quite a few knives and each one of them except the tiny ones are capable of doing just about any knife task that I need done. Some will do things better than others, but that is to be expected. I don't expect to build a log cabin with a pocket knife.

A knife that does it all???? Behold the mighty Peanut and tremble.

One Knife to rule them all, One Knife to find them,
One Knife to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

I am totally with you on this one!

For me it does everything that I need ... I have to admit I am an urban guy that works in an office and I seldom see any trees that are not in a strictly controlled environment ... so YMMV ;)

I've carried a SAK for more years than I care to remember. The one I've carried and used the longest is the Super Tinker. I also like the Recruit, but my Cadet is seeing more and more pocket time lately.
