Do you have sentimental knives?

My sentimental knives are:

My Cub Scout Camillus knife from 1967.

My Dad's SAK and Leatherman Micra

Gifts from my girlfriend: Rat 1 and Roadie

Autographed Z-Hunter from Nick Shabazz

A Nick signed Z-Hunter is quite exciting, thanks for sharing!

I have a Case xx that my Dad carried every day. It is sentimental to me. He passed away 36 years ago. Yeah, he died young. He never got to see the man that I have grown to be or his two grandsons. :(

I'm sorry to hear that. I guess time never quite heals those wounds, but I hope you carry that piece of him proudly.

I’ve had knives gifted to me by very good friends, lifelong type cats. Those are sentimental to me because of the people associated with them. Aside from that, not really.

I have an inexpensive traditional folder that my father pulled out of his pocket and handed to me when I left for basic training.

Also have his issued M3 trench knife from WW 2.

Those two I am the most sentimental about.

The other knives I carried in the service are long gone but have been replaced so I still have reminders.

One of the great things about any knife you use is the memories you get with use. Like the Griptilian I carried on the road trip to take my daughter out of state for school.

That USMC is awesome! I have a WWII era PAL RH-36, which is considered the predecessor to Kabar's fighting knife. No idea where it came from, though.

I have nothing to add after that great story about your dad. I appreciate his service to our country, and am sorry for your loss.

I have a big (12 inch long) home-made leaf-spring knife that one of my 1st cousins acquired from an Asian gentleman that had no further use for it.

1975 Western manufactured "DEMO" knife.
Sentimental Because: The Army Reserves issued it to me when I enlisted, and didn't want it back when I was given a (unwanted by me) medical discharged three months later.

A couple knives that were gifted to me by members of BF.
Sentimental Because:They were a gift.

A Case XX, 5233. Was given to my grandfather to my father. My father died in 2002 and it was passed to me. I have passed to my son-in-law and my grandson. Looks just like the one in the picture.5233.jpg

Was carrying this when my daughter was born:

I don't see myself getting rid of these unless my daughter wants them when she's an adult.

I have a few.
Most recently I Just picked up this George Muller as a memorial piece for my Ridgeback who just passed...
