Do you have trouble carrying only one?

The downside of developing a really large collection over the last few years is that I have so many pocket knives that fit the same niche. This leads to problems because I usually end up carrying at least three in addition to the Ladybugs on my keychains. Mind you I am not walking around with a pocket full of machetes but sometimes I feel goofy because I feel almost guilty if I don't carry some of my favorites. Does anybody else go through this?

I have at least two and sometimes as many as six on me at a time. Maybe there is a support group we can go to.

Minimum is a multitool and a folder, with the keychain knife taken for granted, a tiny SAK now.

The folder of the day doubles up with the Sebenza, and La Griffe generally comes along for the ride.

I'm still trying to work out what will stay in the backpack.

One??? how???

My knives!

I haven't carried only one knife out of the house for a long, long time.

The past few months, I normally have a red Ladybug on the keyring, a Victorinox Classic in the left front pocket, a Leatherman Pulse and a Spydercard in the fanny pack, a pocket clip/one-hander in the right front pocket (lately one of the BM Axis knives), and often one of the following: Victorinox Hiker, Tinker, or Huntsman in pocket or fanny pack (depending on mood).

A couple times I've carried 2 Axis knives, or an Axis and an AFCK. An acquaintance of mine who is also into knives even thinks the number of knives I carry is funny.

I always carry two knives out of the house. A large auto like a socom D/A clip point and a smaller one like the BM 705 for situations where I don't want to frighten any 'sheeples'.
Around the house I sometimes find 6 or so in my pockets - - love those shorts with tons of pockets!

Well...I just took a little inventory of my pockets. I have on jeans. In the watch pocket is a Victorinox "Execuitive" with a Photon Micro-Lite attached to the little ring. (It's always in my watch pocket.) I have a nylon sheath on my belt with a Dalton "Mini Seal" in it. Clipped to the inside of my left front pocket is a Pro-Tech "Runt". On my keyring is another Photon and a "Swiss Key".
I think that's all.

Oh! if I put on my Galco hip pouch tonight, it contains a Colt Mustang Pocketlite (.380 caliber) and a Spyderco "Delica".
How can you carry just one when there are so many neat knives around?

I don't have a large collection, but do have a hard time walking out the door without having an old favorite, a new favorite, and an SAK-at least.

I always have my keychain knives which include a Ladybug on each keychain and Midnite Minichamp on one keychain and a Victorinox Classic with the South African flag on the other. I also keep a Leatherman Micra on the keychain with my car keys.

In addition to these keychain tools, I usually carry a selection of other folders. Today I carried a FRN plain Native, a CRKT 50/50 Apache III (a great small folder!) and a plain Lum Chinese Spyderco. Nothing I carry is especially large, at least at work, but I wonder what some one might think if they knew what I had in my pockets.

Only one. I know, I'm the mutant.

Nothing on the keychain, nothing around the neck, nothing up my sleeve....

I only like to carry one. A large tactical - type utility folder clipped to the right front pocket. This may change, though...

I rarely have only one knife on me. Most days I carry:

Leatherman Micra - key rin
Schrade Old Timer Middleman 3 Bladed
Stockman - left front pants pocket
Schrade Old Timer 108 OT 3 Bladed Stockman -
Right front pants pocket
SwissBuck TaskMate II - Belt Pouch

And of course depending on what is going on I carry others.

Today:

A BM 910 Stryker in the right pocket (I really like this knife).

A CRKT large point-gaurd in the trench coat pocket.

A BM 710 McHenry in the left suit-jacket pocket.

Yesterday I only had two on me that is the minimum.

Last weekend it was four.

I always have a tiny SAK on the keychain & LM Supertool in the jacket. And usually 3 good folders. This last week it's been 4 most days.

Do I have trouble carrying only one knife? I dunno, never tried it

I usually carry a minimum of four knives. Today I reached into my watchpocket for my small SAK and it wasn't there. I was totally bummed out! I NEEDED that toothpick and I HATE it when I forget a knife, especially when I really need to use it. And you know that the first thing I'll do when I get home is go looking for that knife to make sure I didn't lose it (although I'm 99% sure that I didn't).

The last time I carried one knife was a week or so ago. I had to go to the courthouse so I unloaded my knives in the car. All I had was my Utilitykey on my keychain. Talk about feeling funny. It was weird with nothing in my pockets. I don't know how sheeple do it. No ability to cut anything, just walking around helpless. Oh well, I try to convert as many as possible.

Glad I'm not the only one with this affliction. Usually a knife right front IWB carry (frequently a BM940 because of it's slim profile), another either clipped to front jeans pocket or dropped into front right pocket and many times a Spyderco Harpy in left front pocket. (Hannibal's my hero

i do not have many knives. not many at all compared to some of these fellas.but yes,i do have trouble carrying only one.usually i carry a kershaw mini task and an ag russell damascus lockback.sometimes a buck odyssey rides along in the back pocket (my prybar/screw driver/throw away if necessary knife...BTW-the odyssey will surprise you if you have never held one,you get a LOT for 30 bucks)
i cant carry JUST one.argh!!

Can't do only one. Always my Simonich Talonite NightHawk neck knife and then either a Kershaw, Boye, or CRKT folder, and sometimes also a belt knife of some type. Hard part is figuring out which one to grab every day.
