A few of my Knives
russ aka BladeZealot

Well I'm pretty boring..usually the same main blade bm710 with a small 2blade Case nestled secure in the watch pocket. Course that doesn't include the sak on the keychain, nor the everpresent single edge razor blade in the wallet. Course if I'm going somewhere special all bets are off.

One blade...that doesn't sound too practical, besides life's too short.

Always SAK on the keychain. I don't even think of that as a knife. Then the Buck/Strider for everyday carry either IWB, clipped to jeans pocket, or in a Gould & Goodrich leather police mag pouch. Then there are the strap on throwers in a 3-pack that sometimes rides on my left forearm. The only problem is I lost two of em, and it just doesn't feel right to wear it when two are missing.

You guys need help. I always have my leatherman micra on my key chain, I used to carry a ladybug but switched recently, I usually just carry a small folder, but occasionally I carry a neck knife. I however sometimes feel the need to carry a defensive knife, or maybe just want to take one of my big folders along for the day, in which case I will carry a large knife, and an in offensive knife with me in case i need to whip it out in front of some sheeple. I have no use for any more knives. I like to make sure I pay attention to all my knives, but I know it is just overkill to carry more than two plus a keychain knife. Anybody carrying more is just lugging around extra weight. SO if some of you have wised up a bit and decided to stop carrying all your knives around with you, you can send them to me, and I will take care of them for you.

One is such a lonely number. I always have my CRKT M-16 03 in my right pocket, a Buck Prince in my left pocket, CRKT PECK clipped to the watch pocket, then sometimes my Swiss Army Signature II rides along on the keychain, and once in a while I have the serrated Delica in my back right pocket, plus a full-sized Swiss Army at times. Unfortunately none of these get to go along for the fun-filled ride to school five days a week

The previous list only covers everyday activities though, not outdoors stuff. If I'm hunting I actually carry fewer knives, just a Sharpfinger and a Ka-Bar along with the Swiss-Army and Leatherman. For 4-wheeler trips the full load plus a khukuri and or machete goes along (or sometimes several khukuris

). Now when my lefty Mini Task comes in it may or may not go in the left front pocket. I'm considering just getting the pocket clip reversed and learning to open it with my middle finger. But anyways, to answer your question, I can't stand having just one knife at a time. They all have different purposes, and no one can ever say I'm not prepared (except at school and in courthouses and other sheeple dens).

I carry a small SAK in my keyring and a Spyderco Endura (black blade) clipped to my right front pocket. But sometimes I carry a Taiwanese made boot-clip type knife in the pocket built into the car door. Sometimes I also carry a Western brand boot dagger that has a black blade. This also looks very good for throwing, although I wouldn't use it for that. The blade in this Western knife is fashioned into an integral hilt that is crescent-shaped. The handle is molded into a comfy thumbrest just below the integral hilt. Recently I've seen these knives advertised, but not under the Western brand name. The Endura, the Taiwan knife and the Western are small knives. But they're the type that I would carry as a hideout in the area where I live. For tool needs, I have a multitool folder in my glove compartment.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

It varies from day to day, but here is today's carry. (I am at work today so I have more on me to give me plenty of options.)
Clipped to right front pocket: Strider/Buck mini
Clipped to left front pocket: Timberline Valloton Discovery lock
In left pocket: Micra on keychain, and mini buck
In wallet:Tekna security card
On belt in sheath: Deiter Auto

Actually, this is getting out of control...

Used to be, my daily carry was a Kershaw Corral Creek II and SAK Executive in the front pockets, and a Spyderco Endura in my left back pocket (I'm left handed). Since I got my custom Buck 110 from Pete's Custom Shoppe I can't seem to leave it off my belt, though I did manage to pry it off to go to meeting this morning. I also felt guilty opening all these neat boxes from Buck with another knife, so I got a Buck 503 Prince to replace the Kertshaw, but I can't seem to leave either one at home.

Stop me before I get another knife...

carry a cold steel large gunsite folder in my right pocket, a cold steel khalsa folder in my left pocket, a masters of defense razorback inside the waistband on the left hip and a galco paddle w/a Glock 33 (sometimes a 32C or a SIG P220 .45) on strongside and a Walther PPK .32 ACP in ankle holster - wow and my wife carries a MOD razorback weakside and a SIG P225 9MM strongside and a spyderco delica and Colt Detective Special in purse - we used to live in a bad 'hood lol

Greetings all ! The way I figure it, all my knife needs fit into three categories:
1: Finesse or light work {i.e. cutting packages, envelopes, small repairs, cutting notches for snares}
2: general Utility work {i.e. food prep~, cleaning fish, dressing game, camp or home chores}
3: weaponry / Defense {i.e. - as if this needs any explanation- piercing, slashing, snap or draw cuts, + relative fear factor produced in potential aggressors in deployment}
And as if we needed more acronyms, I call these categories my FUD: {Finesse/Utility/Defense, as above}
I look at all my knives with these categories in mind.
My best combo of EDC I’ve found to be:
1: M4 Sebertool: most useful of the “compact tool kits” I’ve come across; pocket or keychain.
2: Cuda Talon(-ite) by Simonich {7 ¾” OAL; 3 ¾” blade length} in pocket, or: belt or neck-carry.
3: F.C. Road Warrior, OR: C.S. Peacemaker 1; in slash pocket (no pun intended) of coat.
If I need to chop wood, I use an axe{!}; Everything else can usually be done with these...
But I have not found the “magic one knife does all things well”. Please Advise if find...

It's good to see another person from my area on here. Welcome to Bladeforums

I usuially carry my CRKT KFF folder and my Moldel 42. But everywhere I go I have my spydie card in my wallet.

Also it's good to mix and match with your folders and fixed blades.

As I type this, I have a mid-sized sheath knife (Criswell...hunter, I think) on my belt on my left side. On the right, I have my small BM Axis knife clipped to my right front pocket, with my scavenged, like-new Victorinox Officer's model Swiss Army knife stashed in the coind pocket. I've been carrying one knife at a time for years, but I've been bitten by the blade-bug!!

Now if I can just figure out a nice way to carry my CS Recon Scout concealed, I'll only need to carry that.
