Do you heat treat (or any treat) powder steels? M390, CPM 3V, etc

Since the steel is supposed to have a perfect crystal structure won't heat treating it mess it up? Is any kind of treatment done to these steels?

Powdered metallurgy has the same crystal structure as non-powdered. It was very even distribution of the alloying and a pre-set small grain size. Otherwise, everything is the same. HT is the same, too.

often you can HT PM steels a bit higher hardness then the std. grades due to how fine it is. the PM even tho harder then std. grade will have about the same toughness
