America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!
My wife, yesterday, "There is LITERALLY a knife everywhere you go in this house." She's right.
I used to accumulate knives, more than I really needed by a long shot. I guess that's part of our disease. But for the past several years I've been cutting back, and for the past year and three months I've not accumulated a single one. I've got down to just a few that I rotate in daily carry except for my damascus peanut that is always in my pocket. At this stage of my life I don't need a lot of get to get by, and I've discovered the joy of having only a few that I'm very good friends with, that feel so familiar in my hand when I use them. Sometimes I look back on all my knife accumulation years ago, and wonder what the heck I was doing. I'm now a one knife man with a couple of back ups.
Carl.
