Do you keep Busses in the car?

I keep a RatManDu, an Emerson, a Leatherman, an Estwing Hatchet, and a 1911 in my SUV. The INFI stays in the house; its not just the $ its the availability. The 1911 is worth more than some of my INFI, but if I needed to replace I can walk into the store and buy another and walk out with it (no waiting period here). Can't say the same about any INFI.

Battle Rat in the BOB in the back... packed full of lots of other stuff too. I keep a small, frame mounted safe in the event I had to leave my CCW. A gen 1 Howling Rat is in my man-bag/pseudo-briefcase.

I sometimes swap out the HR for others as EDC. If I did, the expense of the INFI wouldn't be a deterrent. A smash and grab would be very expensive for me already... Van full of stuff - gear rat to an extreme. My car isn't the first candidate for theft. Older, awd Toyota van, with a big-o rack on top. Typically not clean. Doesn't look like much from the outside. Dark factory tint in back coupled with curtains. I try to keep the front cabin cleared.

Contents (laptop, other gear) sometimes equals the value of the vehicle.

Don't leave INFI routinely in my vehicle, just got a British MOD for the "permanent" truck knife. I have INFI in my BOB that goes everywhere with me and comes in at night! :D Would just hate to lose knives and gear I use and enjoy.

If I had a truck, an INFI passenger might be useful, but for now I keep a Wilson Cop Tool there for whatever uses may come up.

I used to keep my beater Basic 9 in the truck, but I normally don't leave my gear in the vehicles. I load it and unload it depending on where I am going. I do follow some of you guys' logic with keeping a Scrap Yard or Rat in the car and bring the INFI out when you are going to use it specifically. I just don't have much SY or SR stuff in my inventory. I have two SY blades and maybe three SR. A lot less than I used to have.

Currently I keep a SR Battle Mistress in the truck and a
ZT SH in the car. These are intended for emergency use
and never leave the vehicles.

I regularly keep a Game Warden - currently a .270 Fatty with black G10 - along with a black handled Huntsman SAK within easy reach in the glovebox. There's also a Gransfors Bruk axe in the trunk.

Dog father in the truck for me. Infi stays in the house, in the safe when not being used. Just like the firearms.

I don't leave anything in the car all the time, I usually take the B9 or Black & Blue FBM when traveling out of town on the weekends (just in case).

I used to, but I've become more wary of a snatch-and-grab bandit snagging my backpack full o' goodies. Nowadays, I keep a Ratmandu and a Battle Rat in my bag. It would hurt like crazy to lose those two, but not quite as bad as a BATAC and a CG FBM. Now, if I *know* I'm going on a hike, I'll pop in the INFI, but for everyday, it's SR-101 for me.

What about ya'll?

CLASSIFIED INFORMATION! ...you may moonlight as a car thief! :p:D:D

BM-E baby on the portable BOB, naturally w/ a leatherman Wave too!

I don't currently keep any Busses in my car. I keep a KaBar "cutlass" machete in there, which is sort of a poor man's battle mistress. I often think about switching the KaBar out for a real battle mistress, but that would mean that I wouldn't have her inside to fondle anymore. And I need both of my mistresses inside, just in case I need to go double fisted against an unfortunate home invader and/or zombies. And honestly, the KaBar has never met anything it wasn't up to- it was my all-time favorite chopper before I discovered Busse. AWESOME knife for the money.

I've had cool reactions to the big knife in my trunk. Once I popped a tire and the guys at the tire place found it and were admiring it. And recently I got pulled over for a tag violation (waited 2 years before switching my VA plates to GA ones). The cop saw my big knife when I was going through my trunk, when they impounded my sorry butt. He gave me a "thumbs up" and said "allright!" in response to the KaBar. He was a very cool cop. (I totally deserved to be pulled over).

no infi but my bravo 1 and golok stay in the car 24/7
