Do you like a big 10 incher?

I do mostly flat grinding and have a platen set up with a 2" & 4" wheel. It really is versatile but I have been thinking over a 10" wheel as well.

How do you guys like using a 10" wheel?

I like the ten inch. You can hollow grind, or grind at a 45 degree angle for a semi flat grind.

10" is OK, but I do 98% of my grinding on a 14" or 36".

I bought an 8" and now I am wishing I would have spent the extra few dollars and got a 10"

The 14" is expensive, but I think it's worth it.

Forum member "Nathan the Machinist" sells a 36" radiused platten for a reasonable price.

I like really high grinds, so a 14" and a 36" are pretty much mandatory for me.
