Do you like fountain pens or kubatons?

These are astonishingly beautiful. After checking the website, though, I can see that acquiring one is quite an investment. An interesting dilemma presents itself, between which love to pursue; the pen or the blade...

It's a total dilemma, lol. It means I've had to carefully choose my collection inhabitants. Fewer items, but what I have are pretty awesome. Each Nakaya is a handmade work of art, just like custom knives. I'd like to get at least one more, a Long Piccolo in an Aka Tamenuri finish. This time with a medium stub nib for some line flexibility. At the end of the day, I think 3-5 nice Nakayas and 4 or 5 of my favourite titanium frame locks and I'll be quite happy. It's hard to put any more than that to actual use in a rotation and then they just sit there taking up valuable resources (money that could be spent elsewhere)...

Most pens could act such. Watch "Grosse Pointe Blank" for a nice illustration of the principle.

The way Hollywood portrays pens these days will have them outlawed in no time... :p

I'm saving up for a montblanc 149 I have a Edison collier in persimmon swirl with the stainless steel nib, I use it almost everyday but I usually don't take it to work, it would just get destroyed!

[Hijack] Ha! I hadn't seen that before. Cool fight. No way am I buying that John Cusack is going to beat Benny the Jet, though. [/Hijack]

I love the way fountain pens write. I never used one until I started turning and assembling pen components. Here's an ancient Kauri fountain pen I made for my brother. I think it has a Schmidt nib, if I remember correctly.

I like simple pens that write smoothly and consistently. I've had problems with Fisher Space Pens leaking, no love for fountain pens I'm afraid.
